House Projects

We've been finishing all our lingering house projects lately after B gave a very moving (and short) speech to me last week. "Let's work hard and get these projects done over the next month..." I think he was trying to convince himself (and his lovely wife) that he wants to get these projects done. Really, he does. Really.

His little pep talk to himself evidently worked as we are flying though projects that have been on our to-do list for months. I LOVE finishing projects. Especially the projects that have been on going for weeks. Ah, completion. So nice.

How do you handle house projects? Do you work like dogs and get them done? Or, do you break the job at hand into smaller portions and spread the project out?

Work like a dog!!!

That is until a baby comes along and then everything comes to an abrupt stop until further notice. : - )

If I had the ability to do it, I would have it done. Tim tears everything out and doesn't complete it to finish. It really bugs me.

Break down all projects, life is the design you give it, look at yourself, look at your room what do you want it to look like, how much of this can you do alone, know how much effort you are willing to give, and what will require help - and from whom. projects can be fun unless it becomes a chore, a room full of everything can be overwhelming, so make it like a puzzle, things fit together when moved in a proper box, or shelf or closet. Put in a tidy order so everyone doesn't see all your things at once- that you will get to whenever. Sounds good, so now I will buy paint first, paint the wall then hang pictures, then start on that room. Love Mom
