Well Said

"Darn it!" - whispered by Isaac upon entering our bedroom early Friday morning and once again discovering that Dada had gone to work.

"Jesus was homeschooled and He knows everything." - on a T-shirt I've never seen, but have only heard about.

"When I think of home, I picture my family, together eating dinner, snuggling on the sofa, hanging out in the kitchen...Home should be a place that invites warmth, and togetherness, with its spaces used well and well used." - Gretchen Roberts from www.smartsimplewoman.com.

"Did she sugges...susset, sugress..." - Brian attempting to utter the sentence, "Did she suggest that?" after working in record Midwest heat for yet another week. His brain was slightly fried. To solve this frying problem he now wears a "farmer's hat", as he calls it, to block the sun. Pictures will soon follow. Anyway, we ended up driving through our city following my last prenatal visit saying "suggest" repeatedly until it lost all meaning to our ears. Suggest, suggest, suggest, suggest, suggest, suggest, suggest...

NOTE: Other words Brian cannot pronounce include "fluorescent", "breakfast", and "water". They come out "for-es-ant", "bref-es", and "wooder". Water, of course, is debatable depending on the region of the United States you grew up in.

"Can I go outside and plant a cherry tree?" - Isaac asked Brian's permission yesterday afternoon after eating his cherries. I think the plan is for Isaac and Brian to somehow grow a cherry tree in our basement this fall/winter. How? I have no idea. All I know is I have a bowl of semi-chewed cherry pits sitting on my kitchen counter that I am not allowed to throw away.

I recently saw a t-shirt that said...
front: "don't go to church"
back: "be the church"

That's the best "Christian attitude" t-shirt I have ever seen.

Actually, since Jesus was Jewish he would have gone to the school for boys in the synagogue most likely in Nazareth. During the Sabbath he would have attended the Rabbi teachings of explainations of the scriptures with his family. At the age of 12 he would have began preparation for being able to attend the adult ceremonies when he turned 13 and he would travel to Jerusalem with his family three times a year for religious ceremonies. Remember in the Bible when Mary & Joseph searched for him in Jerusalem and found him in the Temple sitting among the Jewish teachers listening and asking questions. He also would have been trained in the carpentry trade because of his family. Just a little bit 'o history this Thursday morning! :) Cute about Isaac missing Brian in the morning, my guys have to see Steve off to work, too. Tell Brian to squirt his wrists with cool water, it cools your blood faster and keeps you cooler. Also, we like "the mister" from Wal-Mart that you can load ice cubes in and spray and it cools the air temp by about 20 degrees around you. We love it for soccer. Have a good day~ Ang

I can't find any proof whether Jesus actually went to school or not. But he did spend his time in the temples where they were teaching truths and Godly values.

Kids get the reproduction cycle. "Daddy let's plant these seeds to grow a Cherry tree." Why can't we adults get it when it comes to souls?

Mon, can you buy me one of those shirts. Maybe our church should buy one for everyone.

This is too good to be true. Who is mon, anyway.

Also, Lori I love Brian's accent, let's not let him change. It adds character yah know. He may not be perfect but he is sure a good guy with a great heart for you and the kids.

I am married to Lori's brother, Tim. I came along to take Lori's place soon after she went off to bible college. We are quite different, but somehow I was able to fill the void :) Seriously, Lori and her mom are responsible for me changing my life to live for Jesus.
